Quality of Life

Over the years the City of Archdale has acquired several tracts of open space and natural areas adjacent to its Creekside Park thereby creating a community resource with over 100 acres of:

• Ballfields
• Greenways
• Natural areas
• Playgrounds
• Recreational amenities including a recreation center with:
  • Gymnasium
  • Meeting space
  • Senior center

The City continues to make improvements to the park including the construction of additional greenways and an 18 hole disc golf course. 

Education

Within easy driving distance from the City are several institutions of higher education including High Point University, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, North Carolina A and T State University, Guilford College and Greensboro College. Located just 5 miles from the City are campuses of Guilford Technical Community College at Jamestown and High Point and located within Creekside Park is the campus to the Randolph Community College’s Archdale Center. 

Medical Facilities

Medical facilities close by include the High Point Regional Health System facility just 7 miles away and Cornerstone Health Care provides a number of medical care services at locations in both Archdale and High Point. Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital is located in Greensboro and Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center is just 25 miles away in Winston Salem. In addition, Duke University Hospital in Durham and UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill are located about one hour’s drive from Archdale.
