Major Subdivisions

Major Subdivisions represent projects - often large in scale - in which land is subdivided and planned for development. The City of Archdale's definition of a Major Subdivision is any form of land subdivision that cannot be classified as a Minor or Exempt Subdivision - essentially any project that will result in the creation of new roads. These projects are subject to final approval by Archdale's City Council following a review process detailed in-brief below. The process can be found in detail within the Section 3.6 of the City's Subdivision Ordinance and associated flow chart.

For more information or to begin this process, please contact Archdale's Planning Department.
